As the year draws to a close, we invite you to join us at Ängsbacka for a heartfelt and meaningful celebration of transition. Our New Year’s Festival offers a space to pause, reflect, and share the final days of 2024 in connection with yourself and the community around you. Together, we welcome 2025 with intention, simplicity, and joy.

A Time to Gather, Reflect, and Celebrate

For five days, Ängsbacka opens its doors to offer a peaceful retreat and space for celebration. Through workshops, shared meals, music, and time spent in nature, you’re invited to relax, explore, and connect. Whether you seek quiet reflection, heartfelt connection, or simply a moment to enjoy being present, this festival offers something to meet you where you are.

New Year’s Eve DINNER – A Special Tradition

On December 31st, we will gather for a carefully prepared New Year’s Eve buffet, a dinner experience unique to this time at Ängsbacka. Using seasonal, wholesome ingredients, the buffet honors the spirit of nourishment and community. Together, we will enjoy a meal that reflects the warmth and care that goes into our celebrations.

The evening will also include music, dance, and a simple ceremony to mark the turning of the year—a shared moment to let go of what has been and open to what is to come.

Volunteering at New Year’s Festival

If you long to deepen the New Year’s experience at Ängsbacka even further you are welcome to apply for a volunteer spot. As a volunteer you commit for the full period Dec 27 – Jan 3 and in exchange for your service you pay a lower fee. Read more and apply below!

AS A NEW YEARS FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER

  • You will explore what it’s like to bring presence and joy into volunteer work.
  • You will arrive on December 27th, two days before the New Years Festival begins, and you will leave on January 3rd, one day after the festival has ended.
  • You are invited to attend all of the offered activities, outside of your working commitments.

YOU AGREE TO

  • Contribute with five hours of working meditation per day, except on your day off.
  • Join the practice of sharing every day, except your day off.

YOU RECEIVE

  • A discount on the New Years Festival in exchange for your contribution to the work.
  • Three vegetarian meals each day. You can sign up for vegan and gluten free alternatives.
  • Accommodation in an indoor dorm either on-site or off-site.

KaSia Soraya

Program Coordinator

KaSia Soraya had the privilege of working and learning in many different occupations and settings. KaSia is mum of two daughters, somatic therapist, creative art teacher, experienced lawyer, dance and music lover, yogi, and a conscious event organizer.

Engaged in multiple projects at Ängsbacka, KaSia’s goal is to create transformative and impactful experiences for individuals and communities. She believes in the power of events and festivals to inspire, educate, foster personal growth while promoting social and environmental responsibility, and community engagement. She places a strong emphasis on holistic well-being, designing events that nourish the Mind, Body, and Spirit.

KaSia’s work focuses helping people to find peace and to see more clearly. She is excited about building a solid foundation for self-regulation and finding tools for resilience, compassion, and loving kindness.
